Oh...and it's snowing
Oh, and I forgot...it's snowing. AGAIN.

Getting things done
With us closing on the house in a few days, we have started to hit the short haul stretch. We have to gather our financial documents again for the loan which we already qualified for and get everything set there, as well as get insurance policies in place etc. We have had a lot of showings lately at the townhouse but so far nothing has transpired unfortunately. We have lined up a renter who will be moving in shortly after we move out, a young couple with a cute 2 year old. They seem like nice people, they actually really wanted to buy our townhouse but they couldn't qualify for a mortgage.

So, things are going well, but busy. We had our Oscar party this weekend, although there were only a few participants due to the fact that we hadn't moved yet. I was sick as a dog, so I didn't enjoy myself too much unfortunately. I was sick most of the weekend, and also on monday and am now starting to feel slightly human again, although I would say I am only at 70 percent. The bug that is going around sure will take you out.

I'm also in the process of ordering blinds for the new house. We aren't going to order all of our blinds at once (we want to conserve money just in case our renters do flake out) and so we are just doing the essential blinds like the bedroom, bathroom and living room and then we'll go from there. We are ordering from 1800 blinds which I have ordered from before and think they have done a decent job in the past!

That's all folks!

We have an official closing!
It's official! We got the call from our builder yesterday and we are officially closing on March 16th! YAHOOOOOOOOOOO! Pretty excited. we have several other apppointments with them for walk through's etc. We close on a friday at 9 am so we'll spend that whole weekend moving. Very exciting!

On other news, I'm sick. I caught the cold that Austin had last weekend so I feel pretty crummy. I hope I feel better tomorrow because we are having some people over to watch the Oscars! I took some cold meds and I am starting to feel a bit better, I just need to take it easy and rest!

Have a great weekend!

We have appliances!
I love appliances...especially kitchen appliances and gadgets! We went to the house today and they had delivered our top of the line appliances (including our commercial gas stove!). We splurged on the kitchen, and I hope it's worth it! I can't wait to cook on my new gas stove (although I'm sure I'll do a decent job of burning stuff in the beginning).

I'm SO ready to move in already. The carpet is in. All they have left to do is fix things like knicks in the walls and get inspections. Part of me wants to just bring a sleeping bag over now and sleep in the new house already lol.

Saturday
Happy Saturday! Enjoying the 3 day long weekend, we get monday off due to Presidents Day! Austin also has the day lff, although he is not feeling too well right now so we are having a quiet day today. We had ANOTHER showing today, which is 3 weeks in a row now that we have had a showing! Which is exciting, it means the market is picking up. Who knows if we will be able to sell the townhouse before we move though.

We also heard that we won't be able to close on the 12th of March as planned...they can't paint the exterior of the house (which is all that is left) until it warms up so they hoped to do that this weekend. I'm not surprised, I had a gut feeling that we wouldn't close on our 3rd year anniversary.

We went entertainment stand shopping today at American Family Warehouse (which, was a madhouse, SOOOOOOO busy) and didn't find what we were looking for. So far the stand we want is from costco.com

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11188059&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&N=4018422&Mo=6&pos=0&No=5&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=28194&Ns=P_Price1P_SignDesc1&Sp=C&ec=&topnav=

It's the one we like the most. We plan to mount our 50 inch flat panel plasma tv on the wall (we even had it pre-wired so all of the wires will be hidden). We have also started looking at blinds for some of the main windows. With us probably having to rent the townhouse, we probably will only get blinds for the primary windows in case we have a problem getting a renter in.

Anyways, that's all for now! Dinner is in the oven and the oven timer is about to go off so I should tend to din din!

Ta Ta!

Happy Valentines Day
Happy Valentines Day! I received a beautiful plant for my desk at work from Austin, as well as a cool tea mug and a box of chocolates. We went out to dinner tonight to a really cute italian restaurant downtown, and had some good food. It was great, couldn't have picked a better place (it was the first time we had been!)

Thing are going good...we are expecting to solidify our closing date any day now. We were supposed to know 28 days in advance, which would have been on monday so my fear is that we are going to be delayed...AGAIN. We are just SO anxious to get in there...and get the move over with.

Anyways....it snowed again today. We are getting close to beating the record for the most amount of days of snow cover in Denver...it's also pretty cold outside!

Hope everyone had a nice v-day!

It's coming along

Last weekend was fun with the superbowl, too bad the Bears didn't win!

Not too much new on my end...

House progress!

We visited the house this morning and were SO happy to see that the tile guys were there installing all of our tile work. We were also really happy with our choices (some of the choices and colors had become a bit foggy since our visit to the design center last may!). So far, really happy with what we have chosen. They still have a way to go...but progress is good!

Tomorrow we are headed to an annual superbowl party that we go to...it's the 12th annual! A lot of fun, but very busy (about 40 people attend each year). It's being catered (as it always is) and this year the theme is bbq. Yum!

I hope the Bears win...
