My good friend Julie took pictures at my birthday parteeee. Jones was fasinated with the balloons that accompanied the party. Actually we think he liked the ribbons attached to the ballons more than the ballons themselves. We had tied them to the banister and he eventually managed to get them loose and they floated to the top of the loft. Silly cat!
I need a root canal :( I had my first temporary crown put on last monday and ever since then I have had a dull pain in that tooth to the point where I have had to take Advil every 4 hours ever since then. I finally called my dentist today and she said I needed to come in ASAP, so I went in this afternoon at 3 pm. They took a look at the tooth and while I do not present ALL of the symptoms of needing a root canal (such as sensisitivity to hot and cold, sensitive to pressure and tapping etc) I do have the dull throbbing pain. So...I have an appointmnet scheduled next wednesday at 12:30 for a root canal. Yuck. I'm going to think positive and hope that magically the tooth will get better in the next week, but it's unlikley.

And they are still sleeping contently! And purring something ferocious! Just TOO cute! I'm glad they settled, usually when I am scrapbooking they are nothing but a pain in the ass becuase they want to knock things over or sit exactly where i am working or other things that just make scrapbooking VERY unproductive...
He wanted to sit on my lap so badly and I just wanted to scrapbook a bit...so I pulled out the cat basket and he settled in and purred super loud...
Weekends go by MUCH too quickly for my liking. Here it is, already 7:30 on sunday night. Eeek. Had a good weekend, didn't do TOO much that is worth noting but had a good weekend regardless. Tonight we are grilling some steaks on the bbq and getting ready for Entourage and Desperate Housewives.

My 30th birthday was a lot of fun! We had about 20 people show up last night for a gathering. Of course there was WAY too much food leftover. Good friends, good company, good party!
Today I am just paying some bills, and thinking about scrapbooking a bit. Doing laundry, and taking it easy. I am over 30 after all...have to take it easy on my weary body lol.
Weight watchers hasn't gone well for the last week and a half, but I am committed to getting back on track tomorrow (after I eat all of the cake in the house...sigh). Luckily I still am losing just very slowly. Tomorrow I have to go to the dentist at 3 pm to get my very first crown. Not very happy about that, but on the bright side I will no longer be able to get any cavities in that particular tooth. Austin thinks I should just dentures and get it over with lol.
So...the big snow storm that was going to be THE snowstorm of April turned out to be...absolutely nothing! Amazing. I should have been a weather forecaster, becuase apparently you can always be wrong and earn a TON more money than what I make now where I actually have to be accurate for the majority of the day. I woke up this morning and opened the blinds, hoping for a lot of snow so I could stay home and relax, and there wasn't a single snow flake. Bah.
Austin took me out to dinner to my favorite italian restaurant in Louisville where I had my very favorite dish consisting of chicken artichokes and penne. Simply delish! Before that we went shopping at the mall and he got me two pairs of new shoes by DANSKO which happens to be my favorite brand du joer.
I can't believe that I'm 30 tomorrow. There is so much that I have done, and so much I haven't done. When I look back and reflect on the past 10 years, I've had many many good things, and some not so good things happen. But overall, life is good. Good family, good friends, good life. What more could I ask for?

There is a winter storm alert for Denver. They are forecasting about a foot of snow to fall in the next 24 hours. We'll see if it actually happens, the last I heard was that the storm had shifted a bit and was going to hit southern and eastern colorado more than Denver.
I took today off, and left early on wednesday. I wasn't feeling great. I feel much better today, although I sure wouldn't complain about a snow day tomorrow! My 30th birthday is on saturday, and we are having some people over for a party saturday night, should be fun! Lots to do before hand to prepare though!
This week has been busy for me, I'm glad it's friday (and payday!). Tonight Julie and I are doing a girls night with another friend of ours that we met from the same message board. We plan to go to On the Border for some delicious mexican food and then come back to my house and watch some movies and that kind of stuff. Should be a lot of fun :)
On wednesday night we bought a new leather sectional for the living room and it will be delivered on saturday between 1 and 3, pretty excited about that :)

This afternoon while I was trying not to think about how hungry I was, I decided I wanted to work out this evening. I emailed my good friend Julie who I can usually count on to be a work out buddy and asked if she wanted to go to aqua aerobics, and she said ok. So we headed there at 6:30. At first, we saw an instructor who we had before (and didn't like) but then we realized that was the neonatal class and our instructor would be someone else (who we really liked).
So yea for aqua aerobics. I feel good, I'm less hungry, and I've drank almost 100 ounces of water today. I feel like I should live in the bathroom now.

I'm hungry. Austin and I started weight watchers this morning. I'm happy we are going to take control of our weight and do something about our fatness together, but I'm still hungry. I've already drank tons of water, and I have a lean cuisine meal in the freezer here at work waiting to be inhaled. I never liked them in the past, I doubt I am going to like it today either.
Sigh.
