Blogging
I really haven't posted much on my blog lately. I just don't feel like I have much to say. Or rather, anything to say that someone else would actually want to read. This weekend is a long weekend, and we have super busy days (saturday and monday) and nothing on sunday. My mom is coming to visit in 2 weeks which should be fun. She is coming for 6 days which is a long time but with the new house I think it will be fun! I'll have to think of some places to visit like the Denver Botanical Gardens during the day.

Have a great long weekend!

Ha! My boss got suckered too
Ok I don't feel SO bad about getting suckered into the presentation...turns out my boss and everyone else in my department has also gotten sucked into the presentation through various means of trickery. Mine happened to be a bit easier, but still.

Craziness...this women just tries to get everyone she meets into her pyramid scheme thing.

I feel better. And my husband still loves me :)

I got suckered.
Wowzer, so i got suckered BIG TIME. I'm pretty gullible, but this tops the list of gullible stuff I've fallen from (or comes pretty close).

So I help a ton of people at work at the counter and on the phone. It's nice, I enjoy dealing with people. An architect came to deliver some plans for us to review and she took my card (along with everyone elses) and she called me the next day asking if I was interested in making more money (duh, who isnt) and that she and her husband were always looking for enthusiastic happy people to grow their business. A normal, rational person would realize what was going on...but not me. It was a day when I was thinking about how much of a pay cut I took to take the job I'm at now and was having a bad day so I figured what could it hurt. Anyways, we set up a time and she asked that my husband join us. Bells should have gone off. But they didn't.

So...fast forward to today and I remind Austin that we have this meeting tonight. He warns me what is about to happen and i try to be positive...but am getting that bad feeling that I have been suckerd. So we show up at the meeting spot, which was IHOP. They come in, seem normal, and begin an hour long presentation on a pyramid scheme. My god. I can be SUCH an idiot sometimes. Austin had a great excuse though, he said that his company made him sign a no competition clause which excluded him from other businesses such as this one. But this just screamed out pyramid scam. Which, I am pretty sure, are fricken ILLEGAL.

Here's the kicker. The bill comes, we want to high tail it out of there. I had a water, Austin had a coke, and they had an ice tea and a coffee. The bill was like 7 bucks. Do you think they even bothered to offer to pay for us? Nope. I throw down a bit of money for us to cover the ONE drink we owed, for, and they made no attempt to pay for the one drink. Austin just tells me to throw a 10 down and pay for the other two, and we high tail it out of there.

Jeesh louise. I have idiot written ALL over my head today. And I think my husband still loves me. I think...

Back from Southern California
We arrived back from southern california on the weekend. I learned a lot from my conference and enjoyed our visits to Disneyland, California Adventure, and Sea World in San Diego. Good to get away, and good to be back in the comforts of our own house too! My pictures are uploaded on my flickr site if anyone wishes to see them....just click on the pic of me with the minnie mouse ears and it should take you to the link!

Other than that, not much new! Don't really have much to blog about that is interesting and blog worthy...
