Wow, I really HAVEN'T blogged in awhile. Not only that, but can you believe it's almost December? This year really has flown by. We plan to put up the Christmas tree this weekend. We have to anchor it into the wall becuase the cats really like to play under the tree, with the tree, chase around the tree, and go UP the tree. We always lose ornaments each year becuase they get batted off the tree and disappear somewhere in the house. All ornaments have to be cat proof. But they love it.

Hopefully we can also put up some christmas lights. I had envisioned putting lights on our eaves, however it turns out they are too high and even my father in law's super high ladder isn't high enough. So...we'll just have to do the porch area.

Austin is sick with bronchitus. I am trying NOT to get sick from him. So far I just have the sniffles...so here's hoping it doesnt get worse.

We are having our windows in the house tinted on saturday. The windows for our living room and master bedroom all face south, and not only that but have no shelter and back up to open space. Which means, that side of our house just gets intensely hot in the summer, and pretty darn warm still even when its not hot. So...we hope it will help with the heat, and will also help with privacy. Both of our car windows are tinted and we chose a different tint of course, but we like it.

Work has been incredibly busy. We are down two people and it has been pretty difficult just trying to keep up, let alone do my regular job tasks. We most likely won't get another secretary in until the first of the new year, so things most likely will be pretty busy until then. At least I get paid overtime in this job! Comes in handy just before Christmas.

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

An update...
I've been neglecting my blog lately, for no real big reason, just haven't been "in the mood" to blog. I am still trying to work out a personal issue that I'm trying not to let bring me down. Some days are better than others.

Things otherwise are busy. A co worker quit a few weeks ago, leaving a significant amount of work undone for awhile and things are still quite busy (we should be hitting the downtime anytime now) so I've been working 10 hour days. Luckily I do get overtime with this job. But still, it's busy. I go home exhausted. I'd like to work out, but at the end of the day, after figuring out what on earth to cook for dinner, I just don't feel like it. So not only am I sad about "the thing" but I feel fat and ugly and big and ...oh did I mention fat?

My good friend Julie finally sold her house and moved to a more urban location. We saw each other a couple times a month, but I have this nagging feeling that our friendship will fade with her moving far away. That makes me sad.

Austin's best friend Nizar and his girlfriend made an offer on a house in Thornton. It's wierd that they will live 12 minutes away instead of the 4 right now. I like them, I don't want them to move. They shoudl move next door as far as I am concerned.

Another friend, Dave, is about to enter his second marriage to a bride from the Ukraine. He leaves this week to get married. Wish him all the best, but yikes.

My parents departed last week on their trek to Mexico from Canada. They made it safely on monday and are settling in. It's still a bit wierd for me that they spend 5 months living on the beach in Puerto Vallarta. But they love it, so I'm glad.

The warrenty people are coming tomorrow to fix one of our stair bannisters that are broken. I'm glad we can call for warrenty work.

We cleaned the kitchen today. it looks much better. We are slobs and should clean more often. Less clutter is nice.

That's all.
