Christmas is over...

My parents love egg nog, especially if it has a shot of rum in it. I had bought a bunch of it for when they were here, but we still ran out. On the 24th I went to 3 different stores to try to find some, and they were all out. Apparently this year there was an egg nog shortage or something. And I wasn't the only one either, looking for egg nog. People were roaming around the dairy department of each store looking for the prized thick and delicious concoction.

Anyways, on the 26th we were running some errands and on the way home I thought I'd stop at 7-11 to see if they had any of the nog. I went back to their dairy section, and didn't see it, so I thought I'd ask the clerk. He responded with NO...CHRISTMAS IS OVER in the grumpiest voice ever. Apparently Santa wasn't good to him or something. I wished him a happy new year and have been laughing about this ever since. And everyone knows that egg nog is available well into the new year, just as it is available in September.

So...today I took down the Christmas tree and am slowing putting decorations away. I hereby declare...CHRISTMAS IS OVER.

I'm trying to learn all of the ins and outs about my new laptop. Getting used to a MAC is taking some getting used to...I grew up on a MAC, but that was before they changed to a new OS operating format so its all new to me!

How much mucus can one person create?

Apparently...a lot. I should know. I'm sick, SO sick. Last night I begged Austin to take me to the hospital so they could put me out of my misery (I'm pretty whiney when I'm sick). I left work at 4 on friday and took a nap, which turned into sleeping all the way until saturday. I woke up saturday feeling crummy, and it went downhill from there. Sunday felt like shit, and stayed home from work today and still feel like shit. I'd like to stay home from work tomorrow but I will be the only person handling building permits so I don't have much choice. I'll just hack all over the contractors.

My biggest complaint now is the amount of snot and mucus comign out of me. I know gross. My cough sounds like a dog barking. Went to the doctor and they say it's viral so there is nothing they can really do but wait it out.
