Our neighbors put their house on the market over the weekend. They bought it less than 7 months ago and it's already up for sale. We figured that they got a job in a different city or something that made them want to take a big loss on the house (considering the market is in the pooper). Turns out the commute downtown is too stressful for them. Ummm, we live in Broomfield. It's a half hour commute. They used to live downtown before they moved up north to Broomfield, and I guess plan to move back downtown.

lol My commute would have to be like 6 hours a day before I'd even think about taking a loss on my house. Broomfield to downtown? Hardly the worst commute in the world. You're right, they should have thought about that one.
My neighbors put their house for sale about 13 months after moving in. Thankfully our area of town seems to be a little better, they'll be able to sell theirs for a decent profit. They're selling for two reasons - the husband got a job in NC and is commuting back and forth each week, and her mother, who lives with them, needs a bedroom on the first floor. I assumed, because they had an option to put a bed and full bath on the main floor, that her mother unexpectedly moved in. But no, she's been living with them for 12 years. Why the hell didn't they consider putting a bed and bath on the main floor for her 80 year old mother?!
