The dress I posted about last week arrived today. I tore the bag open and anxiously pulled it out of it's packaging...and so my dismay found the dress made out of tshirt material and not at all suitable for a wedding at all. So disapointed! So...back to the drawing board to search for a dress again for the wedding in May.
We had a bunch of people over saturday night to celebrate Austin's birthday. We endulged in some X Box Rock Band and American Idol Karoke (I know, cheesy, but it's riddiculously fun once you get into it)...
Some of us were really good...
Some of us were not... Lucky for me no one took any video of me singing, because that wasn't pretty either.

I have always wanted a small maple leaf tattoo for my Canadian heritage. Unfortuantely, I have a huge tendancy to get keloid scars, so I've always been hesitant to get one. So I'll probably never get one. But I sure would love a little maple leaf on my ankle or something like that.

We are going to a wedding at the end of May in Tulum Mexico (just south of Playa del Carmen). I need to obviously find a dress....what do you think of this one? I'm obviously fat, and overweight, so keep that in mind too. I'd pick the punch color. It's definately not something I would normally wear either, which is why I'm asking for opinions.
I've been hearing about the storms in the southeast, most notably the storms that hit Atlanta. A tornado hit downtown Atlanta friday night even and then headed east. I lived in Atlanta for almost 3 years, and my apartment happened to be just east of downtown. I am glad I don't live in Atlanta anymore, for many reasons...but I'm VERY glad I wasn't there while this tornado hit. I also lived in Kansas City for 1 1/2 years and each time those darn tornado sirens went off I almost shit my pants every single time. I remember the sirens going off the first time and I called my mom, who lived in Calgary Canada at the time. I was in tears and didn't know what to do, and she asked me why I was calling her (considering there are never tornados in Calgary). It was funny. I managed to never have to live through one, but I've had enough close calls to the point where those darn sirens scare me to the point of tears. Ugh.
I had taken out two chicken breasts to grill tonight when we got home from work. I had put them in the freezer several weeks ago after they had been in the fridge for a few days. When I took them out of the package they just smelled REALLY bad, and so I threw them out. The last thing I ever want to deal with is questionable chicken. I didn't have anything else thawed out, so we ordered pizza instead.
Happy 4 years of being married to the love of my life! We will celebrate 4 great years of being married on Wednesday. We didn't have a wedding, but this picture was taken before we went out to dinner to celebrate! We didn't have George yet, but we did have Jones already and he was happy his owners became a family!
There were layoffs at the company that Austin works for. His co worker who was hired on about 6 months ago was laid off, a good friend of Austin's. Luckily, Austin wasn't laid off and is fairly safe since he now is the only person in the company who does what he does. It sure is a scary thought thought.
I'm still sick, not running a fever anymore but still pretty sick. I've had to go into work the last 2 days due to being so short staffed, so that hasn't been fun but eh, what can one do.

I thought I was getting better yesterday afternoon, but it seems that the nights are the worst for me. I had a fever this morning of 102 F...blech. I try to sleep but can't. Yuck.
And here's something even odder...yesterday we set a temperature record in Denver for the warmest day ever. Today we woke up to blizzard conditions and 1/2 a foot of snow.

I am on my deathbed. or least I feel like it. I have been battling something for the past 2 weeks or so, and late last night and this morning it appears to have hit me with avengence. I woke up with a fever of 101 this morning, feel nausios, stiff, and just overall really crappy. I can't sleep either.
Ugh. Someone shoot me. Oh, and I am dying for a carrot raisin muffin. Its the only thing that sounds good. Can someone bring me one?
